DREAMING WITH CHAGALL
DREAMING WITH CHAGALL

If grey sky and rain don’t want to cease, one has to look elsewhere and search for colour and light in the arts. Today we invite you to rediscover Chagall on the occasion of an exhibition visited by our contributor Lorenza.

Each time one arrives in Milan one runs the risk of being swallowed by the frenetic rhythm of a city on the move… But Milan is not only the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the Dome and the shops where one can discover famous brands and curious things; without leaving Piazza Duomo one can approach Palazzo Reale to enjoy a break… merged into the art of Chagall! Apart from the most famous paintings, the retrospective presents works of exceptional value: the illustrations for La Fontaine’s fairy tales, the sketches for the frescos of the Jewish theatre with the allegoric depictions of Dance and Theatre, and a wonderful exposition of costumes tailored by his wife for a ballet by Rachmaninoff. It’s a pity not to take a picture, you may say… but you can browse inside the bookshop and find all the wonderful paintings printed on everyday objects.

Thanks Lorenza for this full immersion into the dreamy world of Chagall: we are looking forward to visiting it in person. The exhibition will be open until the 1st of February 2015.
