Relaxing at the sea? In the mountains? Nope… in the countryside! I’ve just discovered a wonderful place to escape from the city and take care of one’s wellness. It’s called Eroma and near Vicenza, the city where I live. It’s a very particular place with a beautiful story:

Bianca was keeping a one-year-long diary. She traced a complete map of life in the countryside and wrote about religious and pagan feasts which marked the rhythm of rural work, the stories told in front of the winter fireplace, the recipes and the natural remedies, the local legends. When her grandson found the diary in the XVIII Century farmhouse he decided to bring all this to life again. The kitchen, the guestrooms, the old stables became the place to taste ancient receipts. He added a reading room with a fireplace, a ballroom, a swimming pool, a small store with conserves and even a landing field. He added also a wonderful wellness centre with sauna, turkish bath, showers and a wonderful relax room with fireplace…
