BEYOND THE GARDEN
Old and new, nature and science, green and architecture: if you need to recharge your batteries you should know that there’s a beautiful place where contrasts are intensified by their harmony and coexistence. It’s the Botanical Garden of Padua, which was created in 1545 and which is the most ancient academic garden in the world, in order to collect, preserve and study the most beautiful vegetable species, among which exotic medicinal plants coming to Italy for the first time from other countries. Since its beginning it has been considered an example for all Europe and in the end it even became part of Human Patrimonies. Nowadays, it is undergoing a high-tech metamorphosis: on the 15th of September it presented the launch of the new Garden of Biodiversity. The new building simulates the natural habitats of 1300 vegetables species, recreating the right climate conditions too. It should be also said that the ancient Garden hosts the incredible number of 7000 other species. The Garden of Biodiversity is going to be one of Italian excellences presented at Milano’s Expo in 2015 and, having already visited it, we are pretty sure it’s going to be a real success!.

But now let’s turn the volume of our words down because Luisa is taking us by the hand through the gallery of silent natural masterpieces she wants to share with us…
